Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled the all-new V-Class Extra Long Wheelbase (LWB), positioning it as a ‘private suite on wheels’ for India’s luxury mobility segment. Priced at an introductory ₹1.4 crore (ex-showroom), the V-Class is available in both petrol (V300) and diesel (V300d) variants. Bookings open at ₹5 lakh, with priority delivery for existing customers.
The V-Class will now be locally produced in India, reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the market. According to Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, the model responds to rising demand among affluent customers seeking privacy, space and exclusivity in personal travel.
Offered exclusively in an extra-long configuration (5,370 mm length; 3,430 mm wheelbase), the V-Class features a refined six-seat layout. Second-row individual luxury seats include ventilation, massage, calf support and wireless charging. Notably, it becomes the first in its segment to offer ventilated third-row seats.
India is also the first global market to offer AIRMATIC air suspension on both petrol and diesel powertrains. The petrol variant produces 170 kW with a 15 kW mild hybrid boost, while the diesel generates 174 kW. Both are paired with a 9G-TRONIC transmission.
Premium features include AMG Line styling, MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, 64-colour ambient lighting, Burmester surround sound with Dolby Atmos, THERMOTRONIC climate control and ENERGIZING Comfort wellness modes. Electric sliding doors and a split tailgate enhance convenience.
Safety remains central, with seven airbags, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist and a 360° camera.
With its combination of advanced safety, segment-first features and local production, the V-Class strengthens Mercedes-Benz India’s presence in the evolving luxury personal mobility space.
