Dedicated police variant features customised equipment for patrol operations and a 211 km IDC range
Ultraviolette has delivered 183 X-47 ‘Skyforce’ electric motorcycles to the Kolkata Police, marking one of the largest electric motorcycle deployments by an Indian police force. The motorcycles were formally handed over at Lalbazar Police Headquarters.
The X-47 ‘Skyforce’ is a dedicated patrol variant developed to meet the requirements of police operations. Its customised electronic architecture accommodates sirens, hooters, a public address system, LED blinkers, decals, mic and walkie-talkie holders, and side panniers.
The crossover motorcycle offers a 211 km IDC range on a single charge, a power output of 36 Hp and a top speed of 145 kmph. Designed for varied urban conditions, it combines manoeuvrability with the equipment required for day-to-day policing.

The deployment highlights the potential of electric motorcycles to support law enforcement while offering operational, economic and environmental benefits, including the potential for lower running and maintenance costs.
